Minecraft the way
it was meant to be.
Free. Fair. Forever.
Glass-MC started as a simple idea: a Minecraft server where nobody pays for an advantage. No pay-to-win, no loot boxes, no gambling. Just a community that plays on equal terms.
We don't do any of that stuff.
The hosting industry taught us what not to do. The gaming industry doubled down on it. Glass-MC exists to prove you can run a great server without extracting from your players.
No Pay-to-Win
Rank upgrades, kit perks, claim size boosts, OP items in the shop — none of it. Every player spawns with the same inventory. Skill and time are the only advantages.
No Gambling
No crate keys, no loot boxes, no "chance" purchases. We've watched other servers turn kids into their revenue machine. That's not a community — it's a casino.
No Money Grabs
No donation pop-ups. No "limited time" cosmetic pressure. No guilt-tripping for server costs. Playing here is free and will always be free — full stop.
Equal Playing Field
Cosmetics that don't affect gameplay? We're open to it someday. But they'll never be gated behind paywalls or randomised boxes. This community plays fair.
No Hidden Fees
What you see is what you get: a free Minecraft server. No "free-to-join, pay-to-play" bait-and-switch after you've built your base. The rules don't change.
Transparent Operation
The community knows how we're funded (Glasshouse Hosting), who runs the server, and where to reach us. No anonymous ops. No unexplained changes.
Glass-MC is funded by
Glasshouse Hosting
We're not a charity that needs donations, and we're not running ads. Glasshouse Hosting — our game server hosting business — covers every cost Glass-MC has: the dedicated hardware, the bandwidth, the co-location, all of it.
Glass-MC was actually the reason Glasshouse Hosting exists. After our first provider was acquired and then mismanaged — and we lost all our server data — we built our own infrastructure so it couldn't happen again. We didn't stop there: we started hosting for other communities too, and that revenue funds this server permanently.
This isn't a temporary arrangement. As long as Glasshouse Hosting has customers, Glass-MC is free. It's literally built into the model.

Play fair. Be decent.
We keep the rules short because we're not trying to write a legal document. The spirit of every rule is the same: don't be a problem for other players.
We're small. That's the point.
Big servers optimise for revenue per player. We don't have that pressure. Glass-MC is early — we're building the community intentionally, one decent player at a time. Come be part of it before it gets busy.
About Glass-MC — A Free Community Minecraft Server
Glass-MC was founded before Glasshouse Hosting existed. The idea was straightforward: run a Minecraft server that respects its players. No pay-to-win perks, no gambling mechanics, no donation pressure. Minecraft at its core is about building, exploring, and surviving — and we wanted a space where that's all it is.
After losing our original server to a bad hosting acquisition — files, worlds, everything gone — we built our own infrastructure. That infrastructure became Glasshouse Hosting. The hosting revenue funds Glass-MC permanently, so the community never needs to monetise its players.
Glass-MC supports both Java and Bedrock Edition players on Minecraft 1.21+. The server runs survival gameplay with community events. It's early days — we have 30+ members in our Discord — and we're building the community intentionally. If you want to be part of a Minecraft server built on principles rather than revenue, join us at play.glass-mc.com or through our Discord.
We're operated by the same team behind Glasshouse Hosting and Glasshouse Management Systems. All three share the same founding belief: technology should serve the people using it, not extract from them.
